Saigon
Some photos of the HCMC weekend...

Photo ripped off from the internet, but this is the splendid Park Hyatt Saigon which we stayed at... seriously a contender for my favourite hotel on earth...

Another ripped-off photo of what the room looks nice.. somehow the photo doesn't do it justice... it has a certain warmth and the super high thread-count sheets and duvet rock!

Cao Dai temple... much as I try to respect religions, this was a bit creepy, and a waste of time (given the distance we had to travel)

Briefing room at the Cu Chi tunnels...

Eeeeks...

Place where we had breakfast... now if I could live in a place like this....

View from the Reunification Palace

1 of the walls of the GPO..

What's the thing in the bottle??
3 cobras and herbs in some wine... i dare you to drink! :D
And grow hair from nose? No, thank you! Haha
did you get into the tunnel?
pobell: yup - it's been widened to fit normal humans like us comfortably... but we also saw the real escape holes, which really are small alright..
That pic with the helicopter and the words in a red circle on the ground - is that the roof of the former US Embassy and the spot from which the last American chopper took off ?
hehz, i went into the tunnel and came out drenched in sweat! and seeing the huge size ang mo complaining about the small space makes me laugh cause i was like 1/2 of his size LOL
Sorry - I managed to read the words in the red circle when I clicked on and enlarged the pic.
But was that the roof of the Embassy ?
LCN: it's of the reunification palace, where the former south vietnam president stayed and had his office..
pobell: u gave me this mental image of an ang mo cartoon character with his head stuck in the tunnel and his ass outside of it..
you do have quite abit of imagination but this fella got his big butt stuck at the entrance of the tunnel while trying to get it in.. so you can imagine how big is the A**
